Liberty Harbor is a multi-unit residential building located within downtown Jersey City’s Redevelopment District and sited adjacent to a light rail stop and within walking distance to the Grove Street PATH station. Cubellis provided design and construction document services for Block 5.5 which houses approximately 190 residential units, 10,000 SF of retail space and a two-story parking garage. The project’s incorporation of lower level retail and it’s proximity to public transportation and local business, reinforce the New Urbanism ideals that drove the redevelopment code.
The ten story building is clad in masonry, storefront glass and zinc coated metal panels. Cubellis designed the residential unit plans to offer a variety of studio, one and two-bedroom models. The duplex penthouse units offer 16’-0” high storefront for a true loft style apartment living.
